The Flaming Lips at Sandstone

April 26, 2010
The Flaming Lips know how to kick off a show. “C’mon, motherfuckers. Let’s fuckin’ do this,” said frontman Wayne Coyne. Then, he climbed into a giant inflatable hamster ball and walked out into the crowd. When he arrived back onstage, everything exploded: Confetti! Balloons! Glow sticks! After rocking through sets from Stardeath and White Dwarfs, the Ettes, White Rabbits, Minus the Bear and Dead Weather, the crowd welcomed the Lips’ arrival on Sandstone’s stage at Capitol Federal Park.
