A haven for Jayhawk fans, the Yacht Club has on its wall a replica of the old Allen Fieldhouse scoreboard, permanently frozen on the score of KU’s 2008 championship victory over Memphis. It's perfect for a moment of rock-chalk nostalgia before grabbing one of Yacht Club’s three-foot-tall beer towers. Jayhawk love aside, the Yacht Club feels more line an upscale ski cabin than a marina, with lots of timber and stone. It's also more family-friendly than other sports bars — brighter, cleaner and generally less dank. There's a patio out front for dining or smoking.
