For more than a decade, the old Bristol Bar & Grill was the busiest seafood restaurant on the Missouri side of the state line. Since moving — lock, stock and antique glass dome — from the Country Club Plaza to Leawoods Town Center Plaza in 1996, it has remained outrageously busy (but does take reservations). Theres good reason for that. The name has changed slightly, but a superb menu (luscious Maine lobster bisque, fluffy baked crab cakes, steamed mussels and daily fish specials), along with traditions such as drop biscuits and exquisite service, havent changed a bit. — Charles Ferruzza
