If you’ve become accustomed to the region’s smoking bans, be advised that you’ll run into a wall of smoke upon entering Blue Springs’ Firehouse Bar. Blue Springs is one of the few cities in the area that still allows smoking in bars, and visitors to the Firehouse Bar take full advantage. They also take advantage of regular drink specials, a dark and low-key atmosphere, pool tables, dartboards, and a few small TVs embedded above the bar. Friday nights mean karaoke; on Saturday nights, live bands play classic rock to an often enthusiastic crowd.
