Restaurant Details

This unpretentious little strip-mall restaurant is almost invisible, sandwiched between a Pier One and a Honeybaked Ham. The location isn’t the draw anyway; it’s the terrific Malaysian, Indonesian and Chinese fare, along with several dishes that fuse those distinctive culinary cultures. Chef William Fang turns out soothing soups, rice dishes and signature items like nasi goreng, laksa lemak, Rendang beef and a tantalizing ginger tofu. There’s no alcohol, but desserts like coconut flan and a towering Malay Parfait, made with homemade ice cream, are intoxicating enough. — Charles Ferruzza
