A Westport staple in the 1980s, Thirsty's Cantina is now located at the corner of Walnut and Missouri, in a building that’s been home to more than a few short-lived drinking establishments. The space has had a face-lift, revealing a brighter, more inviting gathering spot for the busy neighborhood, with plenty of HDTVs showing all the major sports (one is tuned to soccer) and a revamped kitchen. "We wanted to open a place that offers very inexpensive food and very inexpensive drinks," co-owner Jim Sawyer says. With happy hours seven days a week, Thirsty's is good for a quick lunch or for meeting up with a friend or two to watch a game.
