Trade Out

The 2009 fall essentials, which are not at all essential but nonetheless so cute, include the following: pencil skirt; frilly blouse; boyfriend jeans; toughed-up boots; and anything oversized, leather, neon or fringed. Sound familiar? Maybe because those trends get rolled out nearly every other year. With that in mind, comb your closets for the fall items you already own and bring them to the second seasonal Clothing Swap hosted by WearHaus, Pitch MasterMind Carman Stalker's monthly fashion market. For each piece that gets a pass at the door by the WearHaus style setters, you'll receive a ticket, redeemable for one new-to-you item that others have swapped. Any item unaccepted at the beginning or remaining at the end is donated to the Rose Brooks Center. The event takes place from 6 to 9 tonight at WearHaus headquarters (1800 Central, Suite 204, 816-842-1678). See kcwearhaus.com for more information.
