The songs may be old favorites, but the production premiering at the Lyric Theatre (1029 Central) this weekend has never been seen before. Local wit Ry Kincaid penned the all-new script for How the Symphony Saved Christmas, a playful tale about a family in desperate need of Christmas spirit. Jingle Bells, Sleigh Ride and other cant-get-em-out-of-your-head Christmas classics help the family and audiences get into the right mood. The chance to win jewelry could further excite spectators. Someone will win a $999 diamond necklace at each of this weekends three performances. See How the Symphony Saved Christmas at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. today or at 2 p.m. Sunday.
