Tuna Time

A Tuna Christmas does not concern a fishy holiday dinner. The comedy, now playing at the American Heartland Theatre (2450 Grand, 816-842-9999), is actually about Christmastime in a Texas town called Tuna. Actors Jim J. Bullock and John-Michael Zuerlein portray every eccentric character in the suffocatingly small municipality, including the little old ladies. So don't miss this show if you find dudes in high heels, big wigs and stuffed bras hilarious. Tickets start at $17.50. For $5 off, take a can of tuna — or any nonperishable food item — to donate to Harvesters. The production runs through December 28. Today's matinee starts at 2 p.m. For additional times, see ahtkc.com.
