If you'd like to pretend that St. Patrick's Day means more to you than drinking green beer and reciting dirty limericks, then head to Westport Presbyterian Church (201 Westport Road) for the Celtic Celebration Weekend
presented by the Westport Center for the Arts and St. David's Welsh Society. Activities begin with a 1 to 4 p.m. celebration of Celtic music featuring Harps-Accord, a harp ensemble. Admission is a $5 suggested donation. Later, a reading of Irish blessings, curses and toasts starts at 7:30. Admission to that is $10 ($7 for seniors and students), with $1 from each ticket going to UNICEF relief for Haiti. Drop back in on Sunday for Cymanfa Ganu
, a free Welsh sing-along and tea at 2 p.m. Everything else about this weekend may be green, but the tea will probably be a nice Earl Grey. See westportcenterforthearts.org
for more information.
