The Wild Women of Kansas City -- vocalists Myra Taylor (pictured), Geneva Price, Mary Moore and Millie Edwards -- rank among the area's sassiest, most boisterous performers. But even though these ladies don't shy away from singing about late nights and high times, they're also serious when it comes to dealing with the darker side of the musician's lifestyle. This show benefits a new Free Health Clinic program that aims to promote nutrition and wellness to Kansas City's often health-insurance-deprived musicians. As a pro-health bonus, the concert takes place at the always-smoke-free Blue Room.
