Walking into Willie’s Bar is like stepping back in time. It has a distinct 1970s feel, complete with old-school beer signs and corkboard walls, and its small size and low lighting create the perfect hideaway from the busy Sixth Street traffic. It’s more townie bar than student hangout, although travelers staying at the motel next-door also frequent Willie's. Students who do make appearances often live at nearby apartment complexes. The bar has competitive drink specials and two outdoor smoking areas, one of which is heated.
