This member of the Texas-based restaurant chain seems glamorous and palatial by local Mexican-restaurant standards. Its dishes lack drama, though — the ingredients are fresh and the dinners tastefully composed, but they’re not very spicy. Still, diners can expect extravagant portions of enchiladas stuffed with avocado, chile rellenos bursting with crabmeat, and tilapia drenched with honey-lime sauce. The prices are higher than you’ll find in joints on Southwest Boulevard, but you will feel as if you’ve dined somewhere elegante. - Charles Ferruzza
