The fact that this comfortable bar and lounge, housed in a retired Pullman railroad car, happens to be parked in the huge Ameristar Casino doesn’t take away from the Depot’s tidy décor and mellow vibe. It’s a decent place to grab a beer while waiting for a big-name act (or a local blues artist) to go on at the neighboring Ameristar Pavilion. The Depot books solid blues and rockabilly bands, including Lonesome Hank and the Heartaches and the Rumblejetts. Best of all, there’s never a cover.
