At the very south end of Waldo, in a strip mall on Wornall Road, is Flo's Poke-A-Dot Lounge. One of the few 3 a.m. bars in the neighborhood, Flo's entertains a curious crowd of regulars who begin showing up around the 10 a.m. opening hour to enjoy the dirt-cheap drinks and the wafting aroma of barbecue from Smokestack BBQ two doors down. The square-shaped bar in the middle of the room makes it easy to listen to the locals talk, but if you aren't in the mood for conversation, it's best to shoot a game of pool in the back or blankly stare into one of the fading polka dots on the wall while wondering why you went there in the first place.
