The name is deceptive -- jazz isn’t the only type of music that Mass Street strollers hear coming from this club’s second-story windows. The Jazzhaus has Lawrence’s most eclectic music calendar, with reggae, rock, funk and hip-hop acts. The place has been around for more than two decades and certainly looks it; the interior isn’t old -- it’s vintage. Slim cocktail glasses, votive candles and cracked leather swivel chairs are just campy enough to be charming. Nude busts of headless females remain the most celebrated part of the bar’s décor, though. (The one wrapped in barbed wire is our favorite.)
