Lill's On 17th

815 W. 17th St.
Kansas City, MO 64108
816-421-4441
Website
The eccentric Lill’s is a tiny restaurant in a 19th-century house in one of Kansas City’s oldest neighborhoods. It’s an intimate dining experience, with only a few tables inside the house (in summer months, many patrons prefer dining on the two outdoor patios, where pet pups are permitted). Much of the restaurant’s charm comes from its vivacious owner, Latrelle “Trelle” Osteen, a former TWA stewardess who is used to working in cozy conditions. She oversees the front of the house while chef Ken Fletcher prepares the tapas and limited entrée selections. It’s fair to say that there’s no other restaurant in the city quite like it - Charles Ferruzza
