A Westport tradition, McCoy's Public House is one of those rare places that can please the pickiest of folks. Here, the emphasis is on solid customer service, handcrafted beer and an extensive menu that’s heavy on comfort-food types of items. The rest pretty much takes care of itself. Scenesters, middle-aged midtowners and urban bicyclists drink Hog Pound Brown Ale in harmony on the outdoor patio, which stays packed from spring to fall, while suit-and-tie types, out-of-town visitors and disheveled musicians watch sports inside and put down Red Light Raspberry pints — and vice versa. Generally loud but with a good-natured crowd, McCoy's has a stage for DJs and karaoke and a late-night pint special to keep the party going till 3 a.m. Monday through Saturday and midnight on Sundays.

McCoy's has homemade Mac and Cheese to die for. It's better than anything my mom could ever cook! -
This Westport favorite offers delicious food, impressive service, and excellent beers. -
Order the mac and cheese. The beer here is pretty good (I enjoyed the light and the pale, but the raspberry wheat tasted like perfume), and the patio is awesome. Service was great, as well, even though our salad came out with our dinner.
