Family-owned since the 1950s, this sporty bar is as popular as ever. Housed in a giant former textile building, the place has charming torn-up, multilayered linoleum floors and super-retro booths reminiscent of when it was still a soda fountain. Fondly known around town as "the salad bowl of downtown," the Quaff attracts every kind of patron and somehow gets away with selling alcohol to go until 1:30 a.m. Every bar game imaginable is played here, and the place stays open until 3 a.m., with food service until 2. Pretty impessive, considering it also opens bright and early to a breakfast crowd at 7 a.m. sharp.
