The owners of this restaurant try to bring a sense of dignity to a cavernous dining room. Quiet is the code word here, and the traditional Siamese cuisine is pretty mellow, too, unless you specifically order the dishes spicy. The presentation is pretty, but the basil-fried rice, for example, requires more of the herb and less of the garnish. But if the kitchen is somewhat stingy with garlic, ginger and lemongrass, the Thai House’s modest prices are more than enough to stimulate one’s palate. - Charles Ferruzza
