Students who don’t want to discuss the most recent KU sporting event seek refuge and drink specials here. And Lawrence’s smoking ban actually helps the Replay; its heated beer garden is open year-round. The Replay books local and touring bands playing mainly punk and indie rock. There isn’t really a stage, just a corner by the row of pinball machines. (There’s no charge for pinball from 3 to 6 p.m. every Friday, but the machines are always available for patrons who need to post up after drinking too much cheap booze.)
