Weston Bend State Park

16600 Highway 45 North
Weston, MO 64098
816-640-5443
Website
Catch a glimpse of the Missouri River as Lewis and Clark saw it in 1804 from the Weston Bend State Park scenic overlook. The scenic overlook provides visitors a view of the River, Fort Leavenworth, and beyond. The 1,133-acre park has a hiking trail meandering through the woods and along the edge of the bluff with great views of the river. Hikers and bikers can also enjoy the three mile paved looped trail weaving through a hilly wooded area. Five tobacco barns, one is an enclosed shelter that is available for reservations, remain on the land to interpret the important role of tobacco in the area's history. Picnicking and camping year round. There is also a campground featuring basic and electric campsites, modern rest rooms, hot showers and laundry facilities.
  • Hours: April - September, 7a.m.-10:00p.m.; March and October, 7a.m.-8p.m.; December - February, 7a.m.-5p.m.
