Kelsey Smith’s alleged killer, Edwin R. Hall, has at least one supporter. Local blog Heycameraman dug up a MySpace page in support of Hall. The MySpace page is set to private, so I couldn’t check it out without becoming a friend of the 31-year-old woman from Newfoundland, Canada. The page is titled “Innocent until proven guilty” and “Pray for Jack.” It includes a photo of Hall from a court appearance.
Heycameraman also posted this poem, written by the Canadian:

Mountains of evidence from the scene of the assault including (DNA) skin, saliva, fingerprints, blood, semen, pubic hair were all collected. Showing a 99.98% match to the killer (Hall) and Kelsey Smith. Evidence was collected from the scence of the assault, his vehicle, her vehicle, and the residence of the killer (Hall).

I remember seeing that same article and if I am not mistaken it was in one of the articles for the Kansas based newspaper. What strikes me as odd is that if his wife didnt participate in S&M with him, who did. His wife should be asking herself that same question. That should have been a sign to her that something wasnt right.

jme, My apologies. I wasn't clear on why you had posted from that film. I understand now how you were throwing it out there and actually thought even culture wise how different societies handle perps, murderers and rapists etc.
jme, thank God. Thank God you have never suffered such grief, and sadness. I too hope you will never, ever, ever have to even remotely know how having your loved one murdered feels. Plus I don't know the aspect of having your loved one missing. I just can't even fathom.
In our families case I can tell you it effects generations. It dictates forever how you will live in society, raise your children, and I mean it's just disheartening to see people who are all giggly with their myspaces with this dudes picture staring out of it. Even if he was not guilty he DID abduct Kelsey Smith. That in turn led to an entire family who had to have been going out of their minds calling her and worrying where she was. KNowing something was wrong. Think how her grandparents felt when they found her car in that Macy's parking lot. We can't think how they felt unless soemthing so tragic happened to us. There's NO WAY we know how them poor people suffered waiting to find their beautiful, lively, loved child.
So, yeah it's a tad disturbing when ya got "Supporters" of this guy chatting up how their little lives are going. Laughing and joking. Some of their quotes even are most likely prior to this crime, but things like "Punk Rock Chick" who supports her friend Althea is pitching a fit because the cops were driving too fast in her little world to stop a car that ran. Another "friend" or relative of Althea has her little "Ewwws and these are scarry" things going on. Ya know what is scarry? Your cousins freak of a husband. They don't give a damn about Kelsey Smith's family. Could care less or they'd have some sort of even compassion to support thier friend, loved one in private.
People like that suck. Figures he had friends like that. Well, I mean his wife did. His friends were teens. Impressionable, and most likely the only people he could manipulate. The con.

jme: in ks, 'aggravated kidnapping' includes sexual assault that either leads to death or is a factor in death. while they haven't come right out & said what horrific sexual assault took place, the implications in the agg. kid. charge are pretty hefty. she was found nude, and i assume b/c of his s&m fetish she was choked more than once, revived, choked again...all in the name of him getting off.

i actually agree with you in some ways, tabitha, but just thought it was an interesting quote. it's good to throw in differing viewpoints and opinions, not everything fits everyone. i see things from many different angles instead of just one, or even two.
i'm not trying to make anyone feel anyone better. i highly doubt kelsey's family is reading any of what is written here. i'm sure their priorities lie elsewhere.

Even if he didnt kill her and he was just there, he is just as guilty as the person who took her life. Some states of a law that is refered to as "you hands, my hands" law. Being at that crime and taking part of the abduction, he is just as guilty. Only a sick indivdually could watch someone take the life of another.
Obviously that isnt the case cause no one else is being charged. I will be glad when the trial starts so that the world will know the evidence the DA has against him.
Whoever did this horrific crime needs to be locked up forever with pictures of her dead body hung up all over his cell as a constant reminder of the crime he committed.
