In this post filed on Sunday, blogger ...Just Cara picked up on an interesting detail from the Edwin R. Hall case. It seems the defense has filed an affidavit in the case from a professor named Dan E. Krane, a DNA expert who testified in the O.J. Simpson case.

While im sure you "think" The men and women of the Overland Park PD are exceptional people of great character, im sure the facts "Good to me" is more along the lines of the truth. This area is a bible belting community, you think Mr. Hall is gonna get a fair trail? These god fearing people will listen to whatever Kline has to say, and once they see the crime scene photo, OH LORD, there wont be any hope for this innocent man at all. I think Kline has had the evidence long enough now to tamper with it real good....
Krane is just someone who is going to try to blow holes in the prosecutions case and god knows what else just like the bs in OJ Simpson's trial. Krane will probably make it look as if someone tampered with the evidence. If you want to know about Krane all you have to do is look up information of the OJ Simpson case. I very seriously doubt he will help them in anyway. With OJ's case it was pretty simple. It wasnt hard for OJ's defense to win his trial. I mean hell the LAPD didnt follow proper procedures for processing a crime scene. I am sure that these investigators did a pretty good job after all the police departments look at OJ's case as a reminder of what not to do.
Well the only way he is going to get that is if he pays for his own defense. Again we don't know where the $$$$ source is coming from. I do not believe court appointed attorneys are on the defendants side, I mean seriously COURT appointed attorneys (they work for the courts not the public) aren't worth shit to anyone but the state.
Who knows, all I've read on these post is how they where poor and had been evicted from many residents. So maybe her parents are paying for it I did read he doesn't have much to do with his family after the incident with his sister. Then again if my daughter's loser husband was charged with murder I sure as hell wouldn't fork out the cash to help his ass even if my daughter begged me with puppy dog eyes and all. As a parent I would only hope that you would protect your child so them helping him out financially with this doesn't sound right. I do know that he is using Cornwell and he is not free. It doesn't really matter to me who pays for it as long as justice is served and if they do have the right man (which I think they do) then we can only hope he receives punishment to the fullest extent
The state MUST provide Hall with an adequate defense in order to obtain a conviction that will stick. Oddly enough it is in the favor of the prosecution for the defense to demand independent DNA testing. If they didn't, then Hall would have grounds for an appeal later on based upon this detail of inadequacy in his defense.
Standard 4.3 Defense experts
(a) Expert assistance should be provided to an indigent defendant at government expense prior to and during trial if there is reason to believe that the prosecution will present DNA evidence or if expert assistance may lead to the discovery of relevant evidence.
Probably a collection of people who:
A. Are interested in Mr. Hall's case.
B. Prefer strict rationalism to hysterical shoutings-down (or blog comments)
C. Believe the DA of Johnson County incapable of conducting a politics-free investigation of a high-profile murder case.
D. Had the misfortune of reading the comments posted to earlier blogs/articles on the subject and who after considerable difficulty swallowing the mouthfuls of vomit produced by the aforementioned comments, decided that paying a few dollars for a fair trial is better than living in a world ruled by a**holes.
OR: Hall has a rich uncle??
Just another bs way to try to save halls ass and its so f-ing stupid at all the lame ass attemps to make this guy look all poor me to just save his skin..NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Hall will be in the place he should be in PRISON and Kelsey will be given the justice she deserves. So Halls legal team and groupies can just keep fighting for this creep it wont stop a thing.
