'Pro-Lifers' Betrayed by Brownback?

Some in the anti-abortion movement are not happy with Kansas U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback's endorsement of Steve Howe for Johnson County District Attorney.

In her World Net Daily column, Jill Stanek wonders if Brownback is betraying

the anti-abortion movement and trading the Howe endorsement for support from moderate Republicans in his expected 2010 gubernatorial bid.

Anti-abortion types were so displeased with Brownback’s early support of Howe, Stanek writes, that they ambushed the senator at his D.C. office last week, asking him to rethink the endorsement. Brownback was noncommittal.

“Brownback needs to stand with [Phill] Kline,” Stanek writes, “who has been taking hits for five years straight like no other for simply trying to enforce Kansas abortion law.”

But how can Brownback support someone (Kline) who supposedly isn’t running? And why is

U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts getting a free pass when he also endorsed Howe? And what about anti-abortion Kansas legislators who also are backing Howe?

Last week, KMBC reported that anti-abortion groups are encouraging Kline to run for re-election. Kline hasn’t commented on a possible run since declaring last September that he would not seek re-election.

Kline will likely keep Johnson Countians in suspense until the filing deadline at noon on June 10. If he doesn't run, Kline could always continue his speaking career.

Why do the pro-lifers want to have anything to do with Brownback in the first place?

Early in his political career, Brownback was an abortion-proponent. There are interviews and newspaper articles from the early 90's that prove this. Brownback is a flip-flopper who is putting on act that he his pro-life.

Furthermore, Brownback works closely with liberal extremists in Congress (Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-WA and Rep Rick Larsen, D-WA) and radical feminist organizations (N.O.W.)who openly support the murder of human fetuses. Brownback is a GULLIBLE FOOL who believes any piece of propaganda presented to him by a wacko feminist lobbyist.

I am referring to the Tahirih Justice Center, an organization named after an Iranian martyr, who Brownback thinks are "front-line experts". He told this bizarre statement in a speech to his Senate colleagues on December 16, 2005.

Working together with this radical Bahai feminist organization, Brownback copsonsored the draconian 'International Marriage Broker Regulation Act of 2005', which is better described as the 'International Romance Regulation Act'. This law is a SCANDAL regarding non-existant international human trafficking and a few cases of abuse after marriage (there has never been a single case of abuses prior to marriage). This law is based on LIES, DECEPTION, COOKED STATISTICS, PROPAGANDA, MANUFACTURED 'HYSTERIA', SENSATIONALISM, and GROSS EXAGERATIONS to support ulterior motives: the feminist dislike of int'l penpal services, the wacko Bahai religious ideology, and the goal of the Tahirih Justice Center to turn their hysteria into a money-making machine! They have already received several million dollar$ in earmarks courtesy of the idiots in Congress.

It is now a FELONY (5 years prison/$25,000 fine) for law-abiding American citizens to communicate and even say 'Hello' with foreigners when using an international penpal service (now known as a sinister-sounding 'marriage broker'). You are presumed a serial rapist and violent abuser until proven innocent.

You can thank Senator Brownback and his feminist-lobbyist friends for this asinine legislation, so they can live in big houses in northern-Virginia and drive gas-guzzling foreign SUV's with taxpayer money.

When will religious conservatives learn that the Republican party only pays lip-servce to their causes? Republicans doing something serious about abortion is as likely as Democrats ushering in gay marriage. Both cases are more about fund-raising and base-shoring than they are about affecting social change.
