It’s musical-stores time on West 39th Street. Revue Boutique – the cool little fashion hub – is closing at the end of May. Donna’s Dress Shop, the vintage store that operates out of Revue’s back room, will take over the entire space. On Thursday, Donna’s new façade went up.

Revue owner Terry Richardson is going to move two doors east, into the space that used to house part of b. blaze. This fall, she’s planning on opening Colfax (named after her favorite county in New Mexico). Colfax is going to be open from Thursday to Saturday, and it’ll be geared around events. Every six weeks or so, she’d like to hold weekend trunk and fashion shows. Invitations will be based off her e-mail list, because the space can only hold about 60 people.

Richardson is also thinking of creating canvas bags for her e-mail list customers, too – every time they bring it in, they’ll get a certain percentage off their purchase. “It’s kind of a little fashion club,” she says. “To be able to come and enjoy an event and still not be pressed for a lot of money would be a nice thing to do right now.”
