Great artwork tours all over this country, but these rolling installations don't go anywhere near Nelson-Atkins.
This pic was snapped on Genessee Street just off Southwest Boulevard. While popping off I-35 at the Eaton Street exit, I was delayed while this freight rolled through. I turned off my car radio and enjoyed a 15-minute slide show of refrigerated freight cars washed in bright colors and large penis drawings accompanied by the clicks and squeals of the steel wheels. The trains roll through this industrial area at a slow pace so it was easy to check out each car in detail. A lot of the work was pretty crude, but this shot was one of about six cars that held big, bold, custom tags. Most interestingly, at the left you can see where rail yard workers change the car ID numbers but leave the tags intact.
