At last Thursday’s Pitch Music Showcase, I was at the Westport Beach Club for CES Cru when I saw Emily Jenks and her leopard-print dress. I love leopard print, though I think it’s sometimes tricky to wear – too much of it, and it’ll overwhelm your entire look. Or, you’ll look like you should be on the set of Mad Men. Emily pulled it off really well, though – with her hip, asymmetrical haircut and her black slingback wedges, she looks awesome.

The 24-year-old works at Re-Runs, the vintage store in Westport, which is where she got her dress. She also tied a red scarf around her waist and added a Judy Jetson pin near her neckline. “I love Judy Jetson, love the Jetsons. I like her style. I’m going as her for Halloween,” she said. She also loves vintage clothing, especially stuff from the ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s. I asked why those eras appealed to her sense of style.

“I think it’s classic. More clothes were made really well back then. It’s good fashion,” she said. Just like leopard print.
