Our colleagues in Denver have three words to describe their city prior to Monday's start of the Democratic National Convention: "crazy, crazy, crazy."

The journalists at Westword, our sister paper in the Mile High City, have been blogging about the convention since last goddamn July, though, so they're prepared for anything.

Today's highlights (so far):

An abortion opponent is slated to give the convention's closing prayer.

"Endless cyber amusement" watching the official video on "How to be a Model DNC Volunteer."

And Six DNC Events Worth Watching.

UPDATE:

Still no response. Seems like The Pitch comment to the consideration will be reduced to, 'attempts to contact were unreturned'.

Sad too, methinks it would make things a lot more exciting to have real local non-Star coverage at future presidential conventions.

Seriously, CJ, how much would one have to donate for you to actually provide real Pitch coverage to such conventions?

Seeing as how it is somehow considered "uncool" for some Pitch personnel to actually respond to their own Plogs, I give you permission to respond directly to my e-mail. Yet, I want to make sure all are aware of my question and my sincerity in seeing The Pitch quit whoring itself to one of its sister papers.
