Two more members of Johnson County District Attorney Phill Kline's staff will soon be departing. In an e-mail Wednesday morning, Kline's director of administration Shawna Chambless bid farewell to investigator Jared Reed and spokesman Brian Burgess.
During a December 2007 hearing, Reed testified that he stored records from abortion clinics in a Rubbermaid container in the dining room of his apartment for about a month and a half in 2007. Awesome Associated Press writer John Hanna reported that Reed and another investigator took the records to a Kinko's to make copies.
Reed is off to Edwardsville to become a police officer. His last day is September 5.
Burgess, Kline's mouthpiece, is taking a job with a Washington, D.C., public relations firm. His last day is August 29.
"Please join me in wishing them success and happiness in their new endeavors!" Chambless wrote.
