Don't stand next to this billboard during an electrical storm

This so-called "godless billboard" along Interstate 35 in Overland Park is visible to cars traveling southbound past Antioch Road. It's paid for by KCFreeThinkers.org, a group of nonbelievers trying to attract other atheists and agnostics into the nonfold.

According to the KCFreeThinkers Web site, the attention-seeking tactic is working: More than 770 people have viewed the site since the billboard went up in September.

The group's press release claims that surveys have identified nonreligious people as a growing group of 25 million to 50 million people and that as many as 40 percent of people ages 19 to 40 classify themselves as nonbelievers.

Cole Morgan, a spokesman for the group, promises that after clicking on the site to learn about the discussion gatherings and upcoming events, "No door-to-door freethinking evangelist will ever visit, and there are no pop-ups on the Web page. Our only aim is to reach those who really want to learn more."

The billboard will be up for the rest of October, and the group is considering adding another on the Missouri side.

Did you hear about the dyslexic, agnostic, insomniac? He laid awake all night wondering whether there really was a Dog.

This Plog might be the most perfect example of the corruption apples impact. How strange is it that folks attend main meetings on Sunday rather than church services?

Do people say stuff like, Man, that reincarnationist wouldnt shut uphe did an in-character sermon for every one of his past lives. It took forever!

Nadia, way to get off the Clothes Whores and graffiti and bring something substantial to The Plog! You appear to have Dolores Lear speaking in tongues! And Eddie and Tiny Tim are stuttering in comment-count-inflating epiphanies.

I went to their main meeting Sunday.

What a bunch of complaining misfits and know it alls. The atheists are even more arrogant than the fundies.

Atheists are so funny.

After telling me there is no god to tell me what to do, they invariably and to: TELL ME WHAT TO DO!

I am sure there are many friendly, honest atheists.

I just have never met one.

I called the number, and listened to the recording.

Despite their promise not to solicit in the article above, some guy with a Russian accent has called back several times asking me to come to meetings.

When I asked him more about them, he told he I had to show up.

I said no thanks and he got pissy.

Go figure.

Be-Asia, with all due respect, I have been to some of their meetings.

Frankly, I found that any suggestion of taking theism seriously was met with snickers in the background, sarcasm, anger, and in two cases outright hostility.

Of course, you are quite right that all atheists can't be lumped together. Neither can all "Christians", unless you believe that simply calling yourself a Christian makes you one.

In Genesis, the Female was made from the Male's rib, Twin Brother/Sister Clones. They Should Not reproduce Children. The Human Species did not reproduce Children.

All Humans and Animals were Peaceful. Without Body Birth, they would not overpopulate the Planet. They Species did not Kill each other, for food and a place to live.

The lion could lie down with the lamb. When did Humans start killing animals, and each other? When did Animals become pets?

We Know how to Clone Animals today. It would be possible to Clone Humans, if Humans did not believe, God made 'them' to Reproduce Children, even though Genesis says different.

Why did Perfect Adam and Eve take over God's Reproduction Work? What caused Perfect Humans to make Imperfect Humans?

In China the yin/yang is about Balanced Elements also. A male and female Clone are a Balanced Genetic and Physical Pair.

The Eco System and All Species were Balanced, in the beginning. The Imbalance began with Heterosexual Birth Imperfect Humans.

Sitchin in 'The Twelfth Planet', translated ancient buried tablets. Humans from Space came to Earth, when Humans were prehuman, and changed them to the Humans that could reproduce.

Did Evolution happen on Earth? Sitchin has the history of Brother/Sister rulers also, which I accept as the Adam and Eve Clones, after they 'fell' to reproducing a Son, etc.

The Adam and Eve Clones were the first Brother/Sister Kings and Queens with a Son, the Religious Trinities of Past History. Cain, not a Clone also went out, married, had a son, and started another city.

High Tech Humans can travel, like the Religious Gods in our Image, to and from their Home Planet, in the Solar System and Universe.

A High Tech Translation, can sort out many of the Past Mysteries, on our Home Planet.

What's so sad is that Christians hate it when they are put in a box with the religious fanatics of the world, yet they do the same thing when something they don't agree with challenges their understanding. The truth is, you cannot put all atheists, agnostics and non-believers in a box.

Come to the meetings.....

everyone is represented there.

Is that a coincidence?

Are we supposed to take that on faith?

God hasn't given up on Iggy, jackassessass, the 770 people who logged on, the people at the company that likely made thousands of dollars to advertise for those 770 hits, or Nadia for providing free advertising. But, CBS, whose logo is below the billboard, is probably screwed.

I think Eddie is right, there are atheist fundamentalists and there are theistic fundamentalists.

Really, jackass, do you think atheists in political control would tolerate dissent?

They never have before.

Christianity can face anything the atheists have. The old Soviet leaders tried everything from imprisonment to outright murder in an attempt to destroy Christianity.

They tried for 70 years, and ended up destroying THEMSELVES. You think a few billboards will do it? LOL!

You are going to lose.

Well I see the billboard has hit a neerve. Maybe fundamental christian dogma can't stand up to others view points after all.

Eddie, that sounds exactly like the overbearing jackasses I've met who have made a religion out of their atheism. The fight against fundamentalism should not entail fundamentalism of any sort.

The organizer of this billboard display is one "Iggy", a Russian immigrant who specializes in ridicule and bragging about sending truth squads into churches to shut down bible studies. He also slips in advertisements for his real estate business to his Atheist Meet Up Announcements.

A real fanatic, in my opinion.

Apparently there can be fanatical atheists just as there are fanatical theists.

Just try going to one of their meetings. I did. If you mention any religious beliefs, you will be treated like, bluntly, dog shit.

These jokers wouldn't know a rational argument from a stroke.
