Sounds to me like Jones finally made a good motion that would benefit the rate-payers and the BPU. To be chastized by other boardmembers for his position is crazy. Companies across the country are making these tough decisions with employee's. BPU employee Benfits and salaries are at the top of their industry. The reasoning that these are union employees with a contract is false information given by other board members. The majority of administration are not union employee's. The motion was for adminstatation employees, top mangement. If the information available by the media is correct the general manager at 4% gained a $7,000.00 a year increase alone he is definately not a union employee. Administrative salaries are of public record. Call the utility and figure out the exact total cost to the rate payers of this 4% increase. I am sure you will be surprised.
Mr Jones keep voting with the ratepayers interest in mind, let's make this a pattern. You'll probably feel better about yourself at the end of the day.

As Far as the others.
Vote them out
