The Kansas City Police Department released the name of Kansas City's fourth homicide victim this afternoon. Richard Revels, 22, was found shot to death at Linwood Boulevard and Walrond Avenue at 12:30 a.m. No one is in custody, and detectives are asking tipsters to call (816) 474-8477.
A quick search of Missouri's criminal records shows three protection orders filed against Revels. The first was filed in June 2006. In January 2008, Revels plead guilty to felony burglary and domestic assault charges. He was released in May 2008. Revels violated his parole, and a warrant for his arrest on September 15, 2008. -- Justin Kendall

Hi I am Ricky's #2 oldest sister. He has 3. We are much older than the boys (that's what we call them) It was like the boys had 4 mothers. We help Momma name and raise them. I cried when Momma said he was comming into this world, and I cried when momma said he left this world. There was alot about Ricky that people didn't know, and you will not unless you talk to his family. And not just listen to what press has to say or what his rap sheet said. That does not define him. He is not what he did. But just to let you know that he was not just another young black male that was murdered, shot, gun down. He was a son,father,brother,uncle,cousin,friend but most of all he was a CHILD OF GOD. He has family that will always love him and miss him greatly. Rick it is not a day that goes by that I do not think about you and all the things we have been through together. We were together 3 years and I miss you SO much. I cry all the time. why does the news try to maek people look so bad, highlight som egood things about him. Not always oh he had protection orders against him and bull crap like that. He was a good friend and attended the boys and girls club faithfully as a teenager.
