Poor Christian Morgan. The executive director of Kansas' Republican Party is heartbroken over Spider-Man teaming up with Barack Obama. Sucks when your fictional heroes let you down. "At least I still have Batman," Morgan writes. Not quite.

State of the Line comes with a hilarious mugshot of recently arrested Lawrence man Bill Self -- just not the one wearing a rug.

Gloria Squitiro apparently wasn't a fan of our cover a couple of weeks ago. Hey, it's not like we called you a hobbit. Frodo?

Nick Sloan explains The Kansan going paperless. Anyone wanna blog for free?

Arrowhead Pride follows up 610 Sports' report that the Kansas City Chiefs have offered Carl Peterson's old throne to Scott Pioli by asking for patience. But I don't wanna.

Deadspin already has an idea of who the Chiefs are gonna draft. Hint: His name rhymes with Devo, and he just laid the boom on the Sooners. -- Justin Kendall

WHAT is Marvel thinking!?!??! I mean, putting Obama on the cover insinuates him as Spider Man's next arch enemy.

Didn't they get the memo that Obama is the mesiah and every single print publication is to worship him accordingly?

Anyway, at least we will have a fictional character looking out for us here in our red states of KS and MO.
