Carolyn Ragan tells Fox 4 that her 5-foot, 275-pound frame was too big for the University of Kansas Hospital's MRI machine. So, she claims, they told her to the Kansas City Zoo.
"I thought, I
know I'm big but I'm not as big as an elephant," Ragan told Fox 4. "And my
Of course, no one at the hosptial would confirm the story, which Ragan said happened two years ago.
The
story has a happy ending. Ragan found a machine big enough to hold her
after a "frustrating and embarrasing" search. Albeit an "open one."

They DO have machines that fit almost everyone... They are called MRI machines :)
I wonder what her body fat % is...80? 90? Imagine that a body of PURE fat...
This woman's sense of entitlement is staggering. In the linked story, she says "They should have machines that fit most everybody." Riiiiigghhhhht. All hospitals and health centers should have every variation of every conceivable diagnostic machine. And who's going to pay for this endless array of technology? Not to mention the perfectly acceptable reasons given as to why machines can only be so open.
I'm an overweight woman and that compromises some of my options in life. That's just reality. If you're that far from the norm, some options won't be open to you. There's no "should" about it. Grow up.
omg, that woman is entitled to millions of dollars...
is everyone who comments on The Pitch an asshole?
trevir, i hate that im laughing at this mean shit of yours.
Ok, so the woman Podolak was ogling couldnt cram her stuffings into an MRI machine. So what? That doesnt mean she deserves less than excellent medical coverage. This is not a slight to the fat folks of Kansas City or their chubby chasing potential matesit is a testament to the KCMO zoo!
