Just called the Wyandotte County Election Office to see who's running for the embattled Kansas City, Kansas, Board of Public Utilities (the deadline for filing was noon). Looks like quite a few people wanna run, including all the incumbents (noted with asterisks):

maybe the city and bpu should considering extending their services and opening up some strip clubs all the power players seem to have alot of experience in that department
i do remember a time i was in a suite at the t-bones and conviently bpu's suite was right next to the one i was in-and a so called uncorrupt jim epp (west dot)was in bpu's suite trying to sell his speedway tickets that were recieved from the bpu to the people in the suite i was in-i know that when you recieve tickets from bpu as an employee to the tbones or race track you are told they are not to be sold-if you ask me they're all corrupt at that place except for most of the labor workers and some of them are right there with them

He is the only one who has been out there putting The UG and the BPU nasty buisness on front page. Just goes to show how money talks in wyandotte county. Correction, no response from Sue since March 10th 2009, after the kCKCC community candidate forums. Something obviously upset her.
I just wish the people would elect those who are going to be aware of the decisions that the bpu make-like firing employees without validation. Their unwise choices only cost the people that pay their bills and keep the utility going.

Maybe YOU should do your homework. I am not related to Heather DeLeon but support her in the upmost. As I do all of the candidates in the upcoming BPU elections running against the current Board members. Your beef with the Daggetts(Myself and my husband) is based on the fact that you could not buy us off as you have many of your previous and present candidates. How much money have you spent on Loretta Colombels Golf, Trips, Clothing Liquor, dinners, broadway shows, golf clubs, campaigns? I have witnessed you doing and purchasing all these things for Loretta. If you recall Sue Scherzer you were constantly trying to get me to buy in to your ploy. Remember? I am sure you do Sue, my response was "No Sue I am not comfortable with you buying me things If I need them I will buy them myself". You see Sue there is more to life than abuse of money and power. You just don't get it, the Scherzers actions have damaged WYCo. By the way HOW MUCH MONEY do the Scherzer no-bid Insurance contracts at the BPU put in your pockets each year? I am sure you won't speak of that. I watched the Scherzer Bull**** in Wyco for too long. Dont try to drag my husband and myself into your sleazy campaign propaganda, as usual you will support any candidiate that is willing to buy into your agenda. To set the record straight the Daggetts are not in bed with the Scherzers and never have been. That is why my husband no longer runs the utility here. If the truth be known he was the gatekeeper, keeping the kids out of the candy store and I stood behind him on that. That is why we are no longer working in this community. It's pretty sad the Scherzers have historically run off good talent in WyCO to satisfy there personal greed. We were not the first but hopfully the last. We remain citizens of WYCO, go to work at our jobs everyday, pay our taxes and pay our bills. We sleep peacefully at night and have the right to participate in our community. We have been blessed with the clear knowlege of how things really work here politically and will remain involved. I am proud to be a Daggett are you proud to be a Scherzer? You are right Scherzer, I hope the public DOES educate themselves before the April 7 elections. A good start would be the auditors report on the unified governments web-site BPU report. But of coarse you do not want the public to do there homework yourself and your pet Loretta Colombel have too much to loose.

FYI DeLeon is NOT related to Daggett. Maybe you should do YOUR homework. Just because Daggatt has gone to forms supporting DeLeon does not mean they are related.
What does Daggett have to do with anything? Daggett has been out of the BPU for years now. We need to stop beating a dead horse. As I recall Daggatt was called before the grand jury and there has been no charges filled on him.
The point is getting new board members at BPU.
By the way, all of the Deleon signs, flyers, cards and postages have been paid for out of DeLeon's own pocket,not by taking large sums of money from people who have contracts with the BPU.
To Kay & Mariposa: If you look at hundreds of candidates over the years who ran for political office in the Election Office you will also see that we the Scherzers have donated to hundreds of candidates and this includes Dennis Moore and Kathleen Sebelius. So what's your point? You may want to get your facts straight about your candidates before voting. Heather Deleon is related to Doreen Daggett and goes to all the forums with her. You might need to be reminded that Doreen Daggett is Leon Daggett's (former General Manager of BPU) wife. Maybe the Pitch can refresh your memory on Leon Daggett and his lunch money. Some people need to get an education before they are allowed to vote.

If you look at Jones, Colombel and Gonzalez former campaign contributers listed at the WYCO election office you will find that Scherzers contibuted to all of their campaigns.
