Goddamn, this is a plan gone awry.

A federal grand jury indicted a couple of Kansas City guys this afternoon for stealing $225 from the ATF. D'oh.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says a confidential informant gave 27-year-old Johnny L. Bell

$225 to buy a chrome-plated .38-caliber handgun from 23-year-old Leron L. Morris. Bell took an informant and an undercover police officer to meet with Morris. But the undercover officer hung back while Bell and the informant went to make the deal.

However, Morris apparently didn't want to sell his gun; he wanted rob the informant with it. And he did.

The U.S.

Attorney's Office accuse Bell of helping jack the informant because after the robbery, Morris picked up Bell and gave him a ride.
