Star's Posnanski starts blog, doesn't want to write it

Yesterday, Kansas City Star sports writer Joe Posnanski started a new blog: "The Future of Newspapers." But Joe Po doesn't want to write the blog.

I'm hoping to do very little writing on this. What I would like to do

is find smart people -- business people, editors, bloggers, writers,

readers of all kinds -- and have them rant about the business any way

they would like.

Joe Po wants his latest blog to be a "collection plate for ideas." How about a column about how it feels to survive four layoffs?

I would ask, after reading David Martin�s stories this week, did Joe Po try to call his request �Blue Ribbon�? That seems to be the KCMO way of dealing with things, right? Just pay others make lists, but never actually do anything.

My bet is Joe Po will get about as far with this tact as the School District does.
