Yeah, I know this is late notice, but if you're out and about and want to talk about Iraq -- and there's plenty to talk about (war, country, culture, geography and America's role) -- then you've got four chances to do so today at locations throughout the city.

Grand Arts is hosting It Is What It Is: Conversations About Iraq, a traveling conversation with Jonathan Harvey, a U.S. Army Reservist who is a specialist in the psychological effects of warfare, and Esam Pasha, an Iraqi artist who lives in Connecticut.

Here's what's going on:

  • Noon to 2 p.m. at Mill Creek Park (N.E. corner of the Plaza on J.C. Nichols Parkway)
  • 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Kansas City Art Institute (4415 Warwick Blvd.)
  • 4 to 5 p.m. YJ's Snack Bar (128 W. 18th St.)
  • 7 p.m. Artist talk at Grand Arts
