Domestic violence costs Kansas City about $21 million a year, Crime Scene KC says. And that's a conservative estimate. The Kansas City Star says the Kansas City police responded to 6,477 domestic violence calls last year and eight calls homicides last year. To me, those figures are staggering. The survey says women between the ages of 20 and 24 are at the greatest risk of domestic violence. Read through the survey and you'll see a few interesting figures, like 20 of the victims were pregnant. Stay classy, KC.
