Steve Rose kicks Ben Hodge while he's down

Good column today from Steve Rose on the rise and fall of Ben Hodge, the now former Johnson County Community College Trustee and Kansas state rep. Rose lays out a great case for why Hodge is now out of office -- alienating legislators (including conservatives) "with his obnoxious personality," running up legal bills, leaking a list of possible cuts to the public and pretty much being a prick.

Rose writes:

His loss is a testimony to the good sense of Johnson County voters. We

don't punish those who are independent voices with a reasonable

approach. But, as with Kline, there is no tolerance of those who step

over the line.

I doubt this will be the last we hear from Hodge.

Wait, leaking information about a proposed budget cuts to the public is a bad thing?

I say a prayer of thanks every day that Hodge is not my state senator. And now I will add a prayer that he is no longer a JCCC trustee.
