If you read The Kansas City Star's profile of future-former superintendent John Covington with an open mind -- and it's admittedly hard with the Kansas City, Missouri, School District --

there's a lot to be excited about, especially this quote from Covington:
"I don't have time for foolishness."
Uh, Mr. Covington, you do know where you're working, right? But damn it all. Welcome to the Kansas City, Missouri, School District. With talk like that -- and action that backs it up -- you might just win over the cynics.
