You never know what's going to come out of notorious oversharer George Brett's mouth. NBC Action News got an earful when the Royals legend got that crazy look in his eye at a charity golf tournament. This wasn't the fun-loving, pants-crapping Brett. This was a pine-tar-angry Brett, and he will not stand for your criticism of Royals manager Trey Hillman ("I don't give a shit if you're Joe Torre. You're going to take criticism."). Brett then eloquently delivered a message to local sports talkers Jack Harry, Kevin Kietzman, Roger Twibell and Dave Stewart: "Fuck you, And fuck them." Love the part where Brett looks like he's going to strangle the interviewer as he delivers the "they don't know what they're talking about" line.
Ooh, he's so going to get a talking to from Cap'n Buzz Cut Jack Harry. Nope. Harry kissed Brett's ass like a good submissive while NBC rolled footage of Brett golfing. Love the pants, George. Just try not to shit them.

I am not going to lie, you have lost me right here. I realize that you meant well and you clearly know what you are discussing, but I cannot say that I get where youre coming from. In case you want folks to understand your ideas, you should think of the other side of the argument, too. Youve got a lot of know-how, I'm sure. But, quite frankly, you turned me off together with your tone.
I do not like Brett as a person, great ball player, but love how he gives Kevin Kietzman and his 810 buddies a good tongue lashing.

George Brett has always been a Dick! I dont care how great of an athlete you are or what you have done on the field if you are an asshole off the field.
Wow! What an angry white guy! I just wish he would get as emotional on other issues facing us today that might be just as important. Like crime, poverty, the economy, healthcare, terrorism, etc. Afterall, life has been good to Georgie and he was interviewed where all priveleged white guys find refuge - on a golf course during working hours (for the rest of us). Lighten up Brett. Baseball is still just a game. Although, in hindsight, I might be just as pissed off if I had to wear those silly ass pants shown on other broadcasts of his tantrum!
I met George Brett at the LPGA a few years ago. He was signing autographs. I was very young and he was very rude,he wasn't gonna sign my golf ball or take a picture with me until some woman told him off......it was quite funny.

George has the right to say what he said about sportswriters not being qualified to manage MLB teams or criticize the managers. The writers have the right to question a managers decisions, but only from an information standpoint. We really don't need a sportswriter opinion on anything. The sad part of this whole thing is that now George's speech will be a part of sports history and also something he may have a hard time explaining to his kids.
It's fun to watch you media types howl when a rock is thrown at you. Nobody throws a bigger fit than you crybabies when you are shown to know jack about that which you speak. What's your qualifications again, Justin? Managing not to flunk out of J school doesn't count, by the way. What did you bat in the majors? How many runs did you drive in during your illustrious MLB career? Oh yeah ... zero.
Maybe when you pile up 3,154 hits and 1,595 RBI's someone will take you seriously.
