Skillicorn's petition makes a compelling case that his life be spared.
Skillicorn's lawyers have asked Mr. Nixon to convene a board of inquiry.As a matter of mercy, justice and to protect the integrity of the
clemency process, Mr. Nixon should grant the request. Skillicorn should
be given a reprieve from the May 20 execution date so the board can do
its work. The board should report and make a recommendation to the governor on
this question: Should a man's life be spared so that he might continue
to work for redemption?
