A month ago, Jamaal V. Dixon allegedly shot and killed Rashad J. Taylor and wounded Taylor's brother in the parking lot of the Express Mart at 7007 Longview Road. Dixon, 19, now faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action.
On Tuesday, there was another shooting at the Express Mart.
This time, the 20-year-old shooting victim survived.
The Kansas City Star says the victim and his girlfriend were in the parking lot when another car pulled up and started shooting. The victim was hit in the arm and leg; his girlfriend wasn't injured.
Police say the man refused to identify the shooter and didn't want him prosecuted. So there's not much they can do.
