Gitmo prisoner debate: more funny (and unintentionally funny) videos

Posted by CJ Janovy on Fri, May 22, 2009 at 3:38 PM

In case anyone's still worrying about those Guantanamo Bay prisoners (more likely you're worrying about ditching work for the long holiday weekend), here are a couple of Friday-afternoon videos that pretty much sum up the level of political discourse on that issue this week.

Ironic:

Wish it was ironic:

Thanks to Glenn Greenwald at Salon for bringing them to our attention -- and for agreeing with us, only much more articulately.

Not bad, but this is the funniest take I've seen. Features celebrity blogger The Rude Pundit on bass.

What finally dawned on me this week is teh fact that the Right is absolutely afraid of everything.

They're afraid of gays, they're afraid of African_Americans,socialists(real and imagined),Asians,Messicans, and last, but not least, they are absolutely scared shitless of Teh Muslins(check Wonkette if you don't know).

The SuperMax prisons, which are largely a Republican creation,Leavenworth Prison, which sets in the middle of an Army base, and, more than likely,Hell itself cannot hold a bunch of guys who never had running water and electricity more than four hours a day before they got to Gitmo.

I use to think the GOP just used fear as a means to push their agenda.I am now convinced they're just a bunch of chickenshits.
