Do the First Friday thing. Yes, it's already that time of the month again. And this month, a herd of zombies will be crawling through the Crossroads.

Show your pride -- or just your support. Kansas City's Gay Pride Festival kicks off with a downtown street party tonight.

Go back to the Crossroads on Saturday for the West 18th Street Fashion Show.

But first, whet your appetite for fashion by checking out the new fabric department at Bon Bon Atelier in Westport. Local designers Sodapop and Dirty Laundry will be taking custom orders there from noon to 5 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday, admire the moves of some 150 dancers from the Pulse Performing Arts Center as they present Route 66: Road Trip at the Rose Theater of Rockhurst High School.

Take the whole clan to the Kansas City Museum, where every First Sunday is Family Fun Day.
