The day after slain abortion doctor George Tiller's funeral, the man accused of killing Tiller warned the Associated Press of more violence against doctors as long as abortion is legal. Scott P. Roeder called the Associated Press to deliver his warning, which also comes days after the Justice Department began investigating whether Roeder acted alone.
Roeder told the AP:
The Justice Department released a statement saying they're taking the threat seriously, and Troy Newman, president of anti-abortion group Operation Rescue, called Roeder "a fruit and a lunatic.""I know there are many other similar events planned around the
country as long as abortion remains legal," Roeder said. When asked by
the AP what he meant and if he was referring to another shooting, he
refused to elaborate further.

So we have in custody a violent extremist that claims his actions are just because of his religious beliefs and he has knowledge of impending attacks due to take place within the United States?
Let the waterboarding begin!
His lawyer is undoubtedly crapping his pants watching his client call the AP and confess to criminal conspiracy.
Troy Newman, president of anti-abortion group Operation Rescue, called Roeder "a fruit and a lunatic."
And if anyone would know . . .
So does this mean Obama can declare Scotty an "enemy combatant" and ship him off to Gitmo for waterboarding until he gives up the details of all these plots? Just askin', because this certainly sounds like it would qualify as one of those ticking time bomb scenarios the wingnuts love so much.
