Killa City: KCK homicide No. 14, man fatally shot in 3100 block of Lathrop Avenue

Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating a homicide in the 3100 block of Lathrop Avenue.

Police were called to the residence around 11:41 p.m. Wednesday. The found a black man possibly in his 30s dead from a gunshot wound. The victim's name has yet to be released.

Update (3:06 p.m., Thursday, June 11): KCK police say the victim is 32-year-old Phillip G. Cowans.
