Touring KC's fountains by bike

An estimated 200 cyclists turned out this weekend to wind their way through sleepy Sunday streets, taking in the watery sculptures that often put Kansas City in the same sentence as Rome, Italy. The 2009 Fountain Tour, hosted by the Kansas City Bicycle Club, included 25- and 45-mile courses, along with a guided tour led by two-wheeling history fan, Pat Leary. I tagged along with Leary's crew, leisurely taking in the sun, city and historical tidbits. Click here for a slideshow.
